Online panel: Indigenous women and activists fighting discrimination

10.03.2021

Tonight at 18.30, our Local lobby and employment coordinator, Huda Abu Obaid will be participating in a panel discussion marking international women’s day, organized by the University of Exeter.

Five women from different countries and struggles will be discussing the responses provided by populist governments to the pandemic, and how repressive policies have particularly affected marginalised groups.

They will argue questions like how have women in these communities been affected by these policies? How are minority and indigenous women activists facing up to these new challenges?

All of the women are from indigenous or minority groups and will also discuss the added issue of discrimination they face due to their identity.

You are welcome to sign up here to join the event.
