Join the Struggle of Al-Arakib: All the Details

02.06.2014

For the last four years, the residents of Al-Arakib conduct an ongoing struggle against the demolition of their village by Israeli authorities. On March 10 this year, inspectors and policemen entered the village’s cemetery area, where the residents live these days, and took photos. On Wednesday, May 21, a representative of the Israeli Execution Office (Hotza’a Lapo’al) arrived at the cemetery, handed out an eviction order to the Sheikh of the village, and posted another seven orders on an old structure. Already on Sunday, May 24, police officers from the south district arrived at the village and wandered around its cemetery, probably in order to plan the eviction.

Sheikh Sayach Abo Madegam A-Turi, the Sheikh of Al-Arakib

The order sets a “flexible eviction”, from June 12 to July 12
